| From the Introduction by James L. Evers to Leadership,Ethics, Quality - One Hundred and Six Musings for Decision Makers and Action Takers "This is not a typical management book, nor is it a "how to" book. Rather it is a collection of musings about leadership, quality, and even government from a retired, but busy executive. Jim Hennessy is a retired Executive Vice President of NYNEX (now part of Verizon), Chair of the Board of Dominican College, former Deputy County Executive of Rockland County, N.Y., Chair of the Board of Nyack Hospital, total quality consultant and adjunct college teacher. For the past twelve years, Jim has been writing thoughts about his leadership experiences and other subjects in the form of free verse musings. He has amassed well over 900 musings. Friends and business associates, myself included, have asked Jim to share these musings and thus the book came to be. Its purpose is to give leaders thoughts to reflect on, ideas to ponder, provocations to wrestle with, admonitions to consider, and inspirations to be guided by. All of these musings come from the center of Jim's work ethic, that of servant leader, taken from Jim's deep spiritual underpinnings and from the writings of Robert Greenleaf and other authors and from the examples of many colleagues over the years." ---------------------------------------------------------------- Other Books and Essays by Jim Hennessy "Managing Toward The Millennium" Edited by James E.
